The 20 dinars of 2011 is a note about a reformer. On the front, Kheireddine Pasha is shown on horseback against the fortified ksar of Ouled Soltane.
The back shows the Sadiki College in Tunis, and the choice is no accident: it was Kheireddine who brought about the founding of this lycée, where the country’s future leaders were taught modern subjects. He headed the government of the Beylik of Tunis in 1873–1877 and later became Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire.
The note has a curious variety: early printings read «L’Ecole Sadiki» beneath the building, later corrected to «College Sadiki». It entered circulation on 20 October 2011.
The theme of «a reformer and his school» makes the note a meaningful piece in a Tunisia collection, and the corrected inscription is a reason to collect both varieties. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
